Study finds men with larger noses have bigger penises

A study has found that there is some truth to the old saying “Big nose, Big hose”. A research study by the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in Japan, confirming our obsession with penis size, looked at what factors might influence penis length and found a correlation between the size of a man’s nose and the length of his penis.

The study found men with larger noses had a “stretched penile length” of 13.5cm, compared to men with smaller noses who measured on average 10.4cm. The study compared age, height, body, testicular and prostate weight in 126 men aged in their 30s to 50s. And yes if you wonder how they could measure prostate weight, they were deceased which makes this research a little creepy but still interesting. The researchers studied the men’s flaccid penis length (FPL) and stretched penile length (SPL). The conclusion - that nose size was highly related to stretched penile length.

We all want to know how we measure up and what young man hasn’t grabbed a tape measure at some point to find out his vital statistics. We’ve talked about “growers” vs “showers” in other blog articles and revealed that studies have found 26% of men are growers and 74% are showers. This new study found there is a strong correlation between a penis’s flaccid length and it’s erect length, but the difference between the two comes down to the penis’s efficiency at swelling.

Some bad news though, the length of your penis is apparently determined before you’re even born and there’s no magic potion or method which can make your penis longer. The reality is that it reaches adult proportions by the time you are 18-19. And shrinkage of both your penis and testicles as you age can occur, especially if you have high blood pressure or clogged blood vessels. A few extra kilos can also make your penis look smaller than it is.

And in case you were wondering, a 2002 study by two urologists at St. Mary's Hospital in London determined that the rumor that shoe size correlates to penis size is just a myth, but in contrast a 2011 study found that penis size and the ratio between your index and ring fingers are indeed connected.

And for trivia lovers, did you know that your nose actually contains erectile tissue? The soft tissues inside your nose contain blood vessels called turbinates which work in a similar way to erectile and labial tissues in the genitals in that they can swell with engorged blood via the process of tumescence when you are sexually aroused.

We’re sure some men endowed with a big appendage will be confidently sticking their nose into conversations in the hope of being noticed by women now that the word is out.

But gentlemen, don’t get hung up on size. If your partner is satisfied what does it matter? In all of our articles about big dicks the ladies agree that it’s not what you’ve got but how you use it that really counts. And one study found that women consider penis size the 9th most important feature for a man (men rate it much higher, in 3rd place).
