Seriously, if someone had even muttered these words even six months ago you would have looked at them like they were some sort of paranoid whack-job and wondered if they were in need of help. But times change and here we are, in the midst of a global resurgence at the scary end of a global pandemic. Most of us are used to it by now and a lot of us seem to have forgotten how very serious and extremely contagious this virus is (which is partly why we’re looking down the barrel of a second wave), but the fact is there is still quite a way to go and we really do need to change the way we do certain things.
Notice I said change and not stop? That’s because while yes, there are absolutely risks and hazards involved in intimate encounters during a pandemic even with a regular sexual partner or a fuck buddy, they don’t have to stop completely and, if you think about it, most people already understand the associated risks that come with sexual activity so it shouldn’t be all that hard to add another few precautions to our already switched-on safe sex minds.
Face To Face
In the current environment this is basically a no-no. Being that close, for that long, to someone’s breath and possible contagions definitely needs to change for a while. And while I know how gorgeously intimate and wonderful eye contact and kissing can be during sexual play, for the most part it’s just not viable or conducive to staying Covid free. But fear not!
